This is the season of entertaining and - whether you are hosting or gathering somewhere else but have to bring something - there’s nothing better than having something delicious, pretty, and somewhat unique in your back pocket to make and share.

I love appetizers. I could skip a main course and just eat cheese and crackers every meal. I also love dips, so this easy appetizer is right in my sweet spot. My sister made this a few years ago and now it’s one of my favorites this time of year. I really could eat this all year round but because of how pretty and festive it is, it just makes sense to enjoy it around Christmas.

I call it the Pine and Berry spread because that’s what it looks like is in it. See the picture? Doesn’t it totally look like pine and berries? That’s why I think its perfect for this time of year and its so pretty to serve. Serve with some pretty artisan style crackers and you’ll see how yummy it is!

Finally, I am not going to take credit for making this up, as my sister found it on Pinterest years ago and I got it from her. I don’t ever use a recipe - I just eyeball it - but there are recipes all over Pinterest with variations of this spread. So whoever actually created this recipe originally, you have my many thanks! I just wish I could give you credit!

Craisin and Rosemary Cheese Spread

What you need

  • 8 oz plain cream cheese

  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary

  • ½ cup of craisins

  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder

What you Do

  1. Empty tub of cream cheese into bowl

  2. Cut rosemary off stem and put it bowl with cream cheese

  3. Add craisins to cream cheese and rosemary. Mix. If you want more rosemary, craisins or both you can add more until it has the concentration of cheese you want.

  4. Add garlic powder. Taste. Add more if you want more garlic but remember that there may be mistletoe at the party. But then again if everyone eats this, no one can tell!

  5. Serve with some pretty crackers.

There it is. An easy, delicious and pretty cheese spread for your holiday party. It also travels well if you need to bring an appetizer to a party.

Thanks for stopping by!

XO,
