A Fall Dessert

A yummy Apple Cake for Fall

I’ve already professed my love of fall scented candles and how yummy it makes your house while you’re burning one. Just in case you want the real scent of baking in your house, I thought I’d share a recipe with you. I look forward to this cake every fall. In the interest of full disclosure, I usually count on one of my sisters to make it and I eat it. But regardless who makes it and whose house smells good when making it, I absolutely love this cake and I wonder why it doesn’t get made throughout the year. Just like pumpkin pie, I wait all year for that too.

This cake is sort of like a spice cake with chunks of apples in it. While the cake itself can stand on its own as delicious, the frosting takes the cake. It heavenly and the last bite is always a little sad. I hope you have a chance to make this yet this fall!
